This timepiece has been created in celebration of 140 years since the foundation of Seiko Watch Corporation in 1881. It is a recreation of the 1965 ‘King Seiko’ KSK series; highly sought-after accurate mechanical watches with a stylish angular profile.
Recreating this design underlines the importance of the 1960s in terms of Seiko’s 14 decades of watchmaking development. It was a time of technical and design advancements which laid the foundation for the company’s future success in the prestige watch arena.
The 2021 King Seiko KSK has been updated from its original with uniquely-shaped flat lugs, deeper glass but still with the same signature shield design on the case back. A slightly bigger size than its first appearance, it is now 38.1mm where it was 36.5mm and features sapphire crystal glass. The 6L35 movement is automatic in the 2021 version, with a calendar to move with the times.
